Role overview:

We are seeking a skilled Operations/Technical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our systems infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role requires proficiency in SQL query writing, and basic Linux Bash commands to support operational tasks and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability of production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve project-based infrastructure issues and application-related problems.
• Write SQL queries to extract, analyze, and manage data for operational insights and re-porting.
• Collaborate with development and data teams to deploy and support applications in production.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Ensure system security by applying updates, managing access controls, and following best practices.
• Create, maintain, and document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for team reference.

Requirements:

• Experience in using Linux including familiarity with commands is a MUST.
• Must have basic proficiency in bash scripting for automation and task orchestration.
• Proficiency with SQL and its variations, particularly for MySql/MariaDB database.
• Experience in using Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equiva-lent.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit.
• Able to work independently, detail-oriented.
• Troubleshooting capabilities.

Nice-To-Have:

• Experience in testing is a plus.
• Experience in using Git is a plus.
• Experience in Financial systems, Banking is a plus.
